OK, time for our latest twist to THE NINES.
Last year we had 77 speakers. This year we are having more. Part of our logic is we are cutting the time frame down from 9 minutes to 6 minutes. We found out that if you ask people to make one point really well, they can do it in 6 minutes. After 7 minutes people start repeating themselves.
So have no fear, we will have plenty of great content and interaction that day.
And some of you know that we threw up, some would say vomited up, a list on the web where we asked users to suggest and comment on various speakers. We added 20 and all of you added 450 or so others.
Which was great, but we had to make some hard choices. So from your suggestions we picked some from the top, middle and bottom of the lists. Hey, its good to see some divergent thinking.
Plus we invited some of the folks from last year and some of the people that had shared at SAGE and Aha!
But we also have another idea. We want some of you to send us a video. But you have to do it pretty fast.
Over on THE NINES site at http://thenines.leadnet.org there are the directions on how to do it. Just punch the Submit a video button.
Make sure you follow the directions. Stick to the theme and time limit.
Here’s the deal.
- You give us the rights to it.
- We are going to pick a few that we think are GREAT to show on the day.
We can only pick a limited few and we think we will have lots of good submissions.
Last year I had a few guys send me videos DURING the show. They weren’t bad but there was no way to show them and plus, they clogged my email box at a very critical time.
So you need to send one in THIS WEEK. And Shorter is Better!
So, join the open source movement of NINES videos today. See the site over at http://thenines.leadnet.org/2010/submitvideo.html for all the specifics.
